New York–Kensie KMJ Holdings, a division of Bluestar Alliance, and PS Brands have inked a sock and hosiery licensing deal for the Kensie and Mac & Jac brands in the United States and Canada. The line—produced under PS Studio, the better market division of PS Brands—will hit department and better specialty chain stores this month.
Kensie has built its success targeting young contemporary women and the sock and hosiery lines will follow suit. The licenses will “expand on the cutting-edge and feminine aesthetics of the brand while keeping true to the brand’s mantra to ‘Make Pretty,’” said the company.
“Kensie is a fashion forward brand that resonates with the stylish customer. Its image and focus is what excites us about this brand,” says Elie Levy, PS Brands/Planet Sox’ ceo.
PS Brands, LLC, is a leading designer, manufacturer and importer of private label, branded and character family socks and related accessories, started in 1994 with their proprietary brands; Candy Girl and Planet Sox. The brand licenses include Disney, Nickelodeon, Fila, Esprit, Coleman and Southpole, Pro Player, Hind and many more.
Susan Spindell, manager of PS Studio, adds: “We are thrilled to join forces with Kensie®, as we love their contemporary approach to women’s fashion. Their collections call out for great legwear, so we will truly complement each other.”
